"Old Village Blacksmith Shop, used nearly 100 years," published by E. W. Olds and on trompe l'oeil birch bark postcard. copyrighted by F.W. Swallow. Also with this number is another E.W. Olds postcard with the same image only without the birchbark "frame." On back of one: "Forrest's blacksmith shop town down by Lester Howard. Replaced by the Knapp mill." There are 7 images of the blacksmith shop with this number: 3 postcards with birchbark frames, 2 postcards without birchbark frame, and two pictures - one with the notation that it was printed backwards. |
