Aerial photo of the intersection of Main Street & Elm Street taken by Charles McKenna, Jr. from his own Piper Cub in 1952. He was 16 at the time. See Lewis & Burton Houses, Vestry, gardens behind the Thomas Emerson House, Southworth's garage, Bandstand, and triangle with Civil War Memorial. A smaller copy of this photo was made; a little bit of the original was cropped. The smaller one is in the "Overview" photo file in the Large Office. The first attached photo is of the smaller picture. There are two identical photos also in Flat Box #2 (2007.28.1 and a second one which I am giving the same object number but was donated by Thelma Poor.) |
