Description |
According to notes on the back, this is the Stephen and Mary Boardman house on Beaver Meadow Road. It's on the 1855 & 1869 maps and was a stop on the underground railroad. Granville Slack purchased it and 140 acres on Sept. 9, 1869. The house was torn down when the land was purchased by the Norwich Water Supply Co. so as not to pollute the water supply. |
