Photo of the Sawyer house at 421 Main Street which Glen Parker purchased for $2,500 on August 31, 1933. The nearer outbuilidng was a hen house. Adjacent was an open 3-bay shed where cars were parked. The driveway was in front of the house. The ell held a kitchen and a woodhouse. The barn whose gable you see behind the house fell down. Bob Parker built the new one. The house at the right of the Sawyer house is the one at 431 Main St. Bob's father added the dormers before the family moved in in 1957. |
