Photographs of Norwich during WW II, one of which appears in the "Greetings From The Folks Back Home 1943" that was sent to service people and signed by Arthur Lewis, Jesse Bradley, and Dorrance Sargent. The back and front of this were scanned. (1993.14.36b & c) Photos: 2 of Gill's Store (top). 1 of Main Street looking north from Tracy hall, and two very similar to the one used in the greeting of mail carrier Urban Waterman standing by his car with packages on the sidewalk. The Post Office was in Tracy Hall at this time. |
