Postcard of "Norwich Square" showing the Newton Inn and the store erected in 1886 by Josiah T. Morrison and Fred W. Hawley at the intersection of Main St. and Mechanic St. or Beaver Meadow Road. Postcard was part of A. H. Merrill's Series. Store was probably under the management of Fred Hawley or Hawley & Smith. And a second one, courtesy of the Thetford Historical Society in slightly better condition and cancelled on 9/18/1908. |
